We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was perfect, situated on the west coast just outside of the bustling centre. We loved being able to relax and unwind in such a peaceful setting, tucked away behind the dunes and with the railway track nearby lending a charming touch. The staff here were incredible, always helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm, and we especially appreciated the super comfortable beds. The hotel had a great atmosphere, and we enjoyed the garden furniture where we could sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The free Wi-Fi was a great convenience for us, and the kitchenette had everything we needed. this place provided enhanced comfort and quality services that exceeded our expectations.

The helpfulness and friendliness of the management and staff was fantastic. We travel to N.Z. every 12-18 months to visit family and holiday, next time we have reason to stay in Hokitika we wouldn't even consider enquiring anywhere else, it will be a booking with the Fitzherbert Court without even thinking about it.

We had a 2 bedroom unit and had plenty of space. Large bedrooms, living room and kitchen area. Very nice owner. The living room furniture is showing its age, but that is a minor issue -- overall, it was a very nice place to stay.

We loved the cozy and clean studio upgrade with comfortable sofas. The service was excellent and the manager was welcoming and accommodating. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful beach.

The bed was to hard and being so close to the road with the big trucks rolling through, you never got much sleep

The motel had good cooking facilities and clean bed sheets. The owner was also very accommodating and helpful, especially when we checked in after hours. It was nice to see the owner preparing the BBQ for some guests. Plus, the spa bath was a great addition, although the walls were a bit thin.

The layout of the beds in the one-bedroom apartment was a bit unexpected. We ended up having to share a bed with our little one as there was only one double bed in the bedroom and another single bed in the living room.

Dave was very helpful and friendly and the room was large clean and well equipped.

A little road noise overnight. Maybe a heavier fence or some trees/ shrubbery might be a longer term fix. A bit of a stroll to the town cdntre but not too far...

Very poor wifi signal in room which made use of the internet impossible.

The location of the hotel was quite convenient, just 10-15 minutes of walk from the town center. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The staff were helpful and friendly. The facilities, such as the TV and spa, were nice and functional.

There is a drawback regarding the heating in the room. Despite the warm bed and functional heater, the cold air seeped in making it hard to reach the ideal temperature.

The room is clean, the host is very friendly.

I found the 2 lights in room did not work.
